It’s the week of January 24th, and we’ve all already given up on our gym goals. Fortunately, there are some fun video games coming out the week of January 24th, 2022, that can take our minds off the fact that we’ve already completely given up on our New Year’s resolutions.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus promises a brand-new Pokémon experience like every other game in the series, but it looks like they mean it this time. Speaking of the same experience, but different: UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection is coming just in time for the UNCHARTED movie starring Spider-Man.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus in a Sinnoh Region Far Far Away
Pokémon Legends: Arceus explores the Sinnoh region long before it was called the Sinnoh region and simply known as “Hisui.”
Pokémon Legends: Arceus brings more real-time action into gameplay than previous titles did. Imagine exploring a vast, teeming world full of monsters that only utter their own names trying to murder you. It will certainly make us miss a time when we walked around tall grass and had the time to send a Pokémon out to defend us.
Fortunately, not every Pokémon in the wilds of Hisui are out for blood. Players can pre-emptively start battles by sending their Pokémon out for blood against a wild one. While it sounds easy enough to walk around, shoulders back, being the most aggressive member of a Galaxy Expedition Team, Pokémon Legends decided to throw another curveball (pun intended) your way: Alpha and Noble Pokémon. Alpha Pokémon are extra aggressive with glowing red eyes and will not be afraid to throw hands with a kid.
As part of an Expedition Team, your job is to go out and calm aggressive Pokémon called Noble Pokémon. These Pokémon will bite, slash, and claw at you while you essentially try to apply lotion to them. No really, you throw balms at them, but that just makes it sound worse. The gameplay looks fun and Pokémon attacking us on top of our pets sounds like a great time.
An Incredible Remastered Journey We Still Can’t Experience with Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection
Sony is touting an enhanced remastered experience of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy as an immersive experience on the PlayStation 5, if we had one! Yes, it’s been over a year since the PlayStation 5 consoles were released and we’re still at the mercy of Twitter accounts telling us when there are restocks; all while ones lucky enough to have one now ask us how we don’t have one yet (probably bought it from scalpers).
Anyway, Drake, Chloe, and our favorite Uncharted characters who look nothing like Tom Holland swing their way onto our consoles in a truly explosive blockbuster way that makes us believe these games were directed by Michael Bay.
The graphical upgrades to these two standalone titles will make us feel like we’re falling out of an airplane in real life. The PlayStation 5 technology only helps players immerse themselves into an already impressive and groundbreaking experience that’s made Uncharted one of the best game series of all time. Fortunately, those still struggling to pick up a PS5 can play Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on the PC too, even if we’re also struggling to pick up new graphics cards too.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus battles its way onto our Nintendo Switch systems on January 28th with Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, stealing its way onto the PlayStation 5 and PC the same exact day.
